JUNE 7th, Primary Day, and the last day on which nominating petitions can be turned in for candidates who are not affiliated with the corrupt major parties. It looks like it will not happen. We will keep an eye out for candidates who have filed around the state who fit the non-corrupt label.
This was a first attempt to formulate a plan that could be supported by anti-corruption voters. We learned a lot in the process. Next year our Congressional offices are up for grabs, perhaps including a Senate seat if Jon Corzine wins the Governor's race. The following year the entire state senate and assembly are up, and then it's time for President and Congress again. Anyone paying attention to the feelings of voters around the state knows that if there was an alternative, the usual gang would be so nervous that they might agree to do their jobs for a change. Maybe next time.
Contact us at editor@newjerseysays.com and we'll let everyone know about your good work.
We want to know about meetings, conferences, or whatever you are doing to select candidates.
